Surface Preparation

1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, oil and laitance, prior to application.
2. Prior to applying a screed the substrate should be primed with a 1:1 mixture of Powerflex and water.
3. Brush primer on at the pproximate rate of 6 - 12 m² / L. Allow to become tacky then apply topping.
4. For porous surface prime with a slurry coat, consisting of 1kg cement, 1 - 2kg of sand and 1:1 mixture of Powerflex and Water

Application Procedure and Equipment

1. Add gauging liquid to sand /cement mix and ensure thorough dispersion prior to application.
2. The mixes have a pot life of approximately 30 min. Batch sizes should be calculated accordingly.
3. Apply concrete and mortars onto wet or tacky primer.
4. Compact and level with screed bar, and finish with steel float.
5. If over coating the screed, oleo-resinous floor finishes should be avoided.
